Kids Fitness

City Parks Foundation offers free, fun-filled fitness programs designed to help keep young kids active, educate and develop positive, life-long attitudes toward healthy exercise and nutrition.

GET UP & GO!


GET UP & GO! is a free, fun-filled program designed to get kids ages 6-10 active in their local park. The program incorporates core skills such as running, jumping, throwing and strength training with contests, races and obstacle courses.

EVERYDAY PLAY


This new half-day, 5 day per week program in Kaiser Park, Coney Island will feature a variety of sports for kids ages 6-16. The program will keep kids active and highlight fitness through track and field, tennis, golf, soccer, and more. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, courtesy of Friends of Kaiser Park and the Alliance for Calvert Vaux Park.

Everyday Play meets Monday-Friday from July 5 - August 11.

GET UP & GO! FAMILY ADVENTURE RACES


This exciting and FREE parent-child race incorporates basic exercises and sports skills, and provides a healthy, one-hour dose of fun for all! Open to children ages 8-12 and their parents.

The timed races take place on a course featuring 12 activity stations where team members must properly perform the required exercise or task before advancing to the next station and final run to the finish line.
