City Parks Foundation (CPF) is the only independent, nonprofit organization to offer park programs throughout the five boroughs of New York City. We work in over 750 parks citywide, presenting a broad range of free arts, sports, and education programs, and empowering citizens to support their parks on a local level. Our programs and community building initiatives reach more than 600,000 people each year, contributing to the revitalization of neighborhoods throughout New York City.
Volunteer

Volunteering at the CityParks Junior Golf Center is a great way for local golfers to give back to the sport and their community. We are looking for people who love golf and kids! There are two ways that you can get involved:
Facility Volunteers
Beginning each spring, CityParks Foundation (CPF) welcomes the participation of Facility Volunteers to assist us with daily operations. Free training will be provided. Three positions are currently available:
- Starter (supervise the starting time of golfers with scheduled tee times at the first tee)
- Driving Range Monitor (oversee equipment and ensure safety rules are followed)
- Ranger (monitor the 6-hole course to reinforce rules of golf. Weekends only.)
If you are interested in joining our team of Facility Volunteers, please fill out and submit our Volunteer Application (PDF, 54 KB).
Parent Volunteers
Parent Volunteers help us ensure basic golf rules are followed on our par-3 course by agreeing to play a round with their child, and up to two other junior members, during non-program hours.
Only parents of children who are registered members are eligible to become Parent Volunteers and are the only adults permitted to use the golf course. Interested parents must attend a one-hour orientation and pass a basic rules and playing ability evaluation to qualify. Orientation classes will be held in the spring. For more information, contact Gregg Gaulocher at (718) 259-2999. (No sign-up necessary.)
- There is no online form for Parent Volunteers.
- No pre-registration required.

In all of its programming and activities, City Parks Foundation partners with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation to improve neighborhood parks and the communities they serve.
