START DATE: June 18th, 2012

SALARY: $35,000 – $45,000 + full benefits

dation is the only independent, non-profit organization to provide free arts, sports, education and community building programming in parks throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC, including our signature festival, SummerStage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Office Manager/Admin to the President will spend approximately 40% of their time providing high level administrative support to the President of the Foundation. The other 60% of the assistant’s time will be focused on Marketing activities, including research, correspondence and outreach.

Specifically, the position will handle:

  • Provide support to the President, including scheduling, correspondence, answering phones, travel and office management. Answer general calls and emails.
  • Support Board of Directors by preparing and sending materials for meetings, scheduling and managing meetings and drafting meeting minutes. Coordinate Board site visits.
  • Coordinate with Department of Parks & Recreation on vehicle use, telecommunications, computers and other operational issues.
  • Web edits for the CPF website
  • Assist with monthly Board e-newsletter
  • Gather & organize media clips
  • Coordination of Board orientation materials
  • Update all electronic information including maps, links and directions to our program locations online

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with

    Board, staff, funders, general public and others in

    a courteous and professional manner.

  • Two years work experience, ideally in an administrative position. Successful candidate must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Website and graphic design experience a plus.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license helpful but not required.
