Jerome Jennings, a drummer, bandleader, composer, sideman and educator whose latest record was included among NPR’s best music of 2019, is joined for a Q&A session with SummerStage artistic director Erika Elliott and Sam Turvey, co-founder of the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival. They will discuss the history and relevance of the beloved Charlie Parker Jazz Festival in the NYC culture scene as well as the legacy of Bird in his centennial year.
