Can falling in love be an act of revolution?

That’s the question at the heart of a searing summer evening of iconic Latin music and excerpts from Pablo Neruda’s impassioned Spanish translation of Shakespeare’s tale of ill-fated lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Performed by some of NYC’s most talented Latino/a actors and musicians, this concert event will explore the many facets of falling in love: passion, romance, danger, jealousy, joy and more.

Directed by Jerry Ruiz

Featuring: Irene Sofia Lucio (Julieta), Sebastian Chacon (Romeo), Annie Henk (Ama, Fray Juan), and Gerardo Rodriguez (Fray Lorenzo, Baltazar)

Music: Sofia Rei (vocals, charango, electronics), JC Maillard (guitar, saz bass, electronics), and Franco Pinna (drums & percussion)
