World renowned hip-hop DJ/producer and Jay Z, Kanye West collaborator
Video game enthusiast Justin Smith (he took his stage moniker from the character Blaze Fielding in the Streets of Rage series) is all about fusing cutting-edge technology with hip hop sounds. The revolutionary producer founded Fort Knocks Entertainment, and received international notoriety when he produced tracks on three of Jay-Z’s hit albums, The Blueprint, The Blueprint 2, and The Black Album. Blaze has produced numerous hits for Beanie Siegel, Cam’ron, The Diplomats, Kendrick Lamar and Rick Ross. He has also worked with hip hop and R&B behemoths Kanye West, T.I., Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé, to put into perspective the scope of his industry cred. He’s even crafted singles for Eminem, notably on his 2010 Recovery album, including “No Love.” Integrating his love of gaming into his work, Blaze has penned and helmed the soundtracks for several video games and has been featured as his own character in one (NBA Street).
