On your mark, get set, go! On August 9th, athletes representing all five boroughs of New York City participated in the annual CityParks Track & Field Citywide Championships at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. The event was the cul

mination of 6 weeks of lessons held during the summer at 13 different parks. Boys and

girls ages 5 – 16 competed in a variety

of traditional track & field events including javelin, shot put, sprints, hurdles and long jump.
