As a founding member and co-chair of the Astoria Park Alliance (APA), she was selected to speak at the Mayor's Community Parks Initiative announcement - a $130 million boost to underserved parks citywide - as a representative from emerging community advocacy organizations across the city dedicated to park stewardship.
