2014 marked the second year of SummerStage Kids focus on contemporary circus. International circus performers including Barolosolo Cirkus Company, Throw2Catch, Loki Circus Theater, Perfect Catch, Acrobatic Conundrum and ChelseaO Productions thrilled audiences young and old with acrobatics and feats of amazement!

SummerStage Kids premiered of its first ever circus commissioned work, “Circles” a distinctive piece inspired by the celebrated poet Rumi and his poem, “Zero Circle” that explored the nature of evolving relationships and was created in part with the innovative Loki Circus Theater company and famed beat box and Hip-Hop artist, Akim Funk Buddha. Canada’s globally recognized circus troupe, THROW2CATCH wowed audiences with their gravity defying acrobatic and juggling skills in a specially designed show for an outdoor venue. And who could forget the water soaked performance from Barolosolo Cirkus Company at Brooklyn Family Day in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
